On the Hunt?

I've heard it said finding a music producer isn't much different than finding a new drummer. Personally I'd like to believe there's a lot of difference. Never the less, here's a few things to consider before you start your search.

• How much can you afford to pay a producer for their services? Are you paying half up front and the rest when the projects finished, or are you more comfortable with a your project being completely speculative (no money up front) and having a higher cost once completed?

• If you live across country, would you want to take a road trip to Nashville where Key Productions (as an example) can help create your dream project?

• What's your budget like? Limitless or budget savvy, Key Productions can wear all hats; mixing, recording, mastering. This is something we highly recommend if you're on a tight budget. In the long run this can save you money, it also insures a constant hands on approach throughout the project. Want more? We also have the resources to bring in a bigger team if that's the direction you're looking for. This is your project, your dream, and we make sure it's all about you.

These are just a few things to think about before you begin making your record. If you need help answering any of these questions Key Productions can help. Whether you're new to the music industry and need a reliable, trusting voice to guide you through the process, or a seasoned veteran, Key Productions has an array of contacts, musicians and songwriters to choose from and work with.
